Stand up and take notice

A new player is gaining attention in the stand-up pouch area. Winner of a 1996 WorldStar Award, the Boxibag Form/Fill/ Seal (F/F/S) machine produces a stable, square or rectangular-based package made of flexible, lightweight packaging material. The F/F/S machine comes in two versions: an intermittent motion 40 packages per minute (ppm) machine and the latest 60 ppm to
120 ppm continuous motion F/F/S machine.

The Boxibag stands upright on the shelf and can hold powders, solids and liquids. This design reduces the packaging material needed. The package can be manufactured with a zipper for reclosability or with a spout or an inserted straw at the upper end or on the side of the bag.

The F/F/S machine forms the Boxibag from one, two or three roll stock thermosealable films. One roll forms the base, while the other two are for the front and back of the package. This technology allows each side of the bag to be made from a different material and pre-printed with different graphics.
